How to prepare brown rice

Brown rice 

  1.  Rice is extremely versatile and can be used in almost any type of cuisine.
  2.  The color is the distinguishing feature; it is known as wholegrain rice
  3. Brown rice has long grain and a distinctly nutty flavour  .




How to Cook :


  1. • Add hot boiling water or stock into a pot and wait till the liquid boils.
  2. • Add the rice into the boiling water and cover with a lid and make sure you only open when necessary. 
  3. • 2 Cups of brown rice with take you about 45 minutes of cooking 
  4. • Rest the rice for 2 to 3 minutes 

* Always remember to wash your rice *

Total :                    45 Minutes 


What can you serve it with:

It can be served with anything and it is a good Choice if you want to start eating health.

  1.  Curry rice salad 
  2.  Chicken fried rice 
  3.  Egg fried rice 
  4.  Vegetable fried rice 



  • I served my brown rice with Grilled chicken, grilled pumpkin,  green salad and mushrooms sauce
